THE VALLEY BUS SOCIETY

Valley Bus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable and sustainable bus services in the San Gabriel Valley. Our mission is to connect communities, reduce carbon emissions, and ensure accessible transit for low-income residents.

Since 1984, The Valley Bus Society has been a cornerstone of the Drumheller community, proudly providing low-cost, accessible transportation for senior citizens and individuals requiring assistance. Based in the heart of Alberta’s scenic Drumheller Valley, our mission is to foster an inclusive, barrier-free community where everyone can travel with dignity and ease. Whether it’s a trip to the grocery store, a medical appointment, or a special outing with friends, we’re here to ensure no one is left behind.Your Way

The Valley Bus Society was born in 1984 from a simple yet powerful idea: transportation should be a right, not a privilege. In Drumheller, Alberta, a group of compassionate community members, backed by The Royal Purple and Elks clubs, came together to purchase a handibus for seniors and individuals with disabilities. What started as a modest initiative has grown into a beloved non-profit, serving the Drumheller Valley for over 40 years with dedication and heart.

Our early days were shaped by the Town of Drumheller, which briefly managed operations before handing the reins to our newly formed society. Since then, we’ve been driven by a volunteer board and the unwavering support of residents who believe in our mission. From our first bus to our current fleet, we’ve stayed true to our goal of providing low-cost, accessible transportation that empowers our clients to live fuller, more connected lives.
